After years of a general litigation practice, John now focuses on plaintiff’s personal injury and wrongful death cases.
John is widely recognized as one of Vermont's leading personal injury attorneys. For many years he has been listed in both New England Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers, having been named by the latter as “Lawyer of the Year" in the Burlington area for Plaintiff's Personal Injury Litigation in both 2014 and 2010, and for Plaintiff's Medical Malpractice Law in 2013 and 2021.
John joined Langrock Sperry & Wool in 1985, after a clerkship with a Chicago U.S. District Court Judge. He has been very active in his local legal communities, serving as President of the Vermont Trial Lawyers Association and the Addison County Bar Association. He was elected six times by the Vermont Bar Association to a seat on the State Judicial Nominating Board, which he chaired for several years.
John and his wife are long time residents of Weybridge, where they raised their two sons. John has served on the Weybridge School and Zoning Boards. He is an avid traveler, cyclist and sports fan.
