Working together for our clients and communities
Langrock Sperry & Wool offers a full range of legal services to business and individual clients throughout Vermont. We are one of the largest law firms in the state, with twenty-eight attorneys and offices in Burlington and Middlebury. We are also one of the oldest firms, as we are now in our 60th year of serving Vermonters. But those bare facts do not begin to describe who we are.
We are a diverse group of well-rounded individuals supported by an experienced staff. Rather than a hierarchy with narrow specialties in isolated departments, we are colleagues who serve our clients as a team. We get together regularly – often at lunch – and apply our collective knowledge to the pressing legal problem of the day. Broad and flexible minds, working together across disciplines, yield the best results for our clients.
We are committed to our families, to our Vermont communities, and our legal profession. We love practicing law – in partnership with each other, our clients, and our professional colleagues – and that enables us to provide the highest quality and best service that any law firm can deliver.
Our team approach allows us to handle even the most complex legal matters in an efficient and cost-effective manner. We employ a common sense and creative approach to problem-solving, whether negotiating a business deal, crafting an estate plan, mediating a dispute, or preparing for trial.
We have represented thousands of individuals, businesses, and municipalities in all types of litigation and regularly appear in all state and federal courts in Vermont, as well as in several other states, and in the United States Supreme Court. We receive frequent referrals from other lawyers and are known for our ability and willingness to take on complex and challenging cases.
We listen and understand the legal needs of all our clients, large or small. We collaborate – with each other, and with our clients – working as a team. And we solve legal problems – with knowledge, creativity and commitment.
