Students

We handle student issues for schools and colleges, including discipline, academic matters, FERPA, health, physical and psychological disabilities, alcohol and drugs, and sexual harassment.

We also counsel and represent students and their parents facing such issues as discipline, expulsion, sexual harassment, plagiarism, academic dishonesty, and eligibility for in-state college tuition.

Faculty

On behalf of educational institutions, we draft and review faculty contracts and severance agreements, and provide advice on hiring, performance and tenure review, discipline, and discharge.

We also represent public and private school and college teachers and faculty members in the negotiation of contracts and severance agreements, and in matters of discipline, discharge, and denial of tenure.

Administrative

We assist educational institutions with issues of strategic planning, presidential transition and governing board relations, accreditation, curricular revision, staff and faculty reorganization and reductions-in-force, campus security, crisis management, and training on harassment and other issues.

Handbooks and Policies

We have extensive experience in drafting and revising student handbooks, faculty handbooks, non-faculty employee handbooks, sexual harassment policies, releases, and student health forms.

Business and Financial

We handle all types of corporate, business and financial matters, such as contract issues, labor and employment, and financing.

Litigation

Our attorneys handle litigation in all subject matters, as well as manage complex litigation. We also assess institutional liability and insurance coverage.
