Michael, a native Vermonter, has practiced law in Burlington since 1972.  He joined Peter Langrock, Mark Sperry, and Fred Parker to form Langrock Sperry Parker & Wool and open the firm’s Burlington office in 1982.  Michael provides tax and strategic advice in a myriad of contexts ranging from family business matters to complex interstate and multinational transactions.

Michael is counsel to and serves on the Board of Directors of Espey Mfg. & Electronics Corp., an international publicly-traded company based in New York. He serves as a Vermont delegate to the New England Board of Higher Education. Michael was chairperson of a special statewide committee appointed by the Governor to evaluate and make recommendations regarding the Vermont Principals’ Association.  He was also chairman of the Board of Governors of Ohavi Zedek Synagogue. Michael has been active in youth sports and has served as president of the Nordic Spirit Soccer Club of Vermont and as a board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Burlington.

Michael lives in Charlotte with his wife Martha, a pediatric nurse, and loves to keep track of his three grown daughters, keep up with the young guys on the hoop court, and make sure everyone sees the humorous side of life.
