Devin focuses his practice on litigation--primarily criminal defense, family law and personal injury. He also frequently handles appeals to the Vermont Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Devin joined Langrock Sperry & Wool in 1994 after clerking for the Hon. Ellsworth A. Van Graafeiland, U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit and the Hon. Frederic W. Allen, Chief Justice of the Vermont Supreme Court. He is recognized as a leading criminal defense lawyer by The Best Lawyers in America®, and was selected by the judges of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals as a CJA attorney to represent indigent defendants in federal criminal appeals.
Devin lives in Middlebury with his wife and three children. He coaches youth hockey and soccer. He currently serves on the school board for Middlebury Union High School and Middle School. Devin enjoys a variety of outdoor sports and restoring the old house in which his family lives.
