Ren joined Langrock Sperry & Wool in 1992 after clerking for the Hon. Albert W. Coffrin, U.S. District Court, District of Vermont. His practice focuses on estate planning and administration, elder law, Medicaid planning, municipal and land use matters (including property tax, planning, zoning and permit issues), residential and commercial real estate, corporate formation and planning, and civil litigation.

Prior to attending law school, Ren served as regional land use planner for Franklin and Grand Isle (Vermont) Counties, as Planner and Assessor for the City of Winooski, Vermont, and with the City of Seattle’s Department of Construction and Land Use.

Ren and his family live in Middlebury. He has completed two terms on the Town of Middlebury Selectboard and is otherwise active in the community.
