Burlington Office Mark, who is a graduate of Yale Law School, joined Peter Langrock in practice in 1966, to found the Firm then known as Langrock & Sperry. He had previously clerked for the Hon. Ernest W. Gibson, U.S. District Court, District of Vermont. Mark’s practice, which has spanned almost forty years, encompasses a broad variety of real estate, commercial, municipal, environmental, land use, and estate planning matters, involving both transactions and litigation. He has been recognized as a leading real estate attorney in The Best Lawyers in America®, and regularly represents both individual and business clients in transactions ranging from residential real estate sales to complicated commercial acquisitions and leases. He is counsel to numerous municipalities throughout Vermont, providing advice on zoning, planning, taxation, labor relations, and other issues in municipal law. He prepares sophisticated estate plans for individuals, combined with succession planning for family businesses. His litigation practice ranges from complex permit proceedings for developers to appeals before the Vermont Supreme Court. Mark has been a member of the Vermont Professional Responsibility Board since 1995. He and his wife live in South Burlington. They have four adult children. |
