Burlington Office Lisa joined Langrock Sperry & Wool in 1995 after three years as a public defender in New York City and a clerkship with the Hon. Stephanie K. Seymour, U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit. Lisa focuses on litigation, and she represents individuals and businesses in a variety of matters both at the trial level and on appeal. She maintains a busy criminal defense practice, spanning minor infractions up through serious felonies, and has been named as a leading lawyer in this area in The Best Lawyers in America®. Some of her other work for individuals includes employment discrimination, civil rights, family law, personal injury and insurance coverage cases. She also handles real estate, land use, and construction disputes. Her commercial litigation has included contract, trade secret, and consumer fraud cases. Lisa is President of the Board of the Vermont Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the past Vice President and a member of the Vermont Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, and a member of the Board of the Legal Services LawLine of Vermont. Lisa lives in Burlington with her husband and two children, and loves being able to live and work in the same community. She enjoys reading, movies, and the Flynn Center, and in her perfect world, the year would be divided without interruption between garden season and ski season. |
