Emily is a frequent presenter in litigation seminars, and was Chair of the Vermont Human Rights Commission from 1991-2000. She has written several articles, including “Representing Plaintiffs in Common Law Pollution Actions,” Chapter 7 of the Vermont Environmental Law Practice Manual, 1998; “Parents’ Pecuniary Injuries for the Wrongful Death of An Adult Child,” 12 Vermont Law Review 57, 1987; and “Pro-se Divorce: A Strategy for Empowering Women,” 1 Journal of Law & Inequality, 1983. Emily lives in Middlebury with her husband and two children. For years, she has been active on the boards of several area non-profit organizations, including the Addison County Parent/Child Center, and Addison County Home Health. In 2007, she headed a grass roots effort to establish a teen center in Middlebury, dubbed 94Main, serving teens from the seven surrounding towns. She enjoys spending time with her family, cross country skiing, practicing yoga, gardening and knitting. |
