Langrock Sperry & Wool, LLP is a full-service law firm, offering a complete range of legal services to business and individual clients throughout Vermont. With twenty-six lawyers, and offices in Middlebury and Burlington, we have the experience and expertise to meet our clients’ legal needs.
The firm of Langrock, Sperry & Wool has begun a year-long celebration of its 50 years of service in Vermont with a series of charitable contributions known as “50 for the 50th.” Each month for the next year, LS&W will be making donations of 50 to charitable organizations throughout Chittenden and Addison counties. The first donation will enable the Addison County Parent/Child Center to distribute 50 welcome baby baskets to new parents in Addison County.
“We are heartened by the continued success of the Addison County Parent/Child Center,” said Langrock attorney Emily Joselson. “In large part due to their efforts, Addison County now has one of the lowest young adolescent pregnancy rates in the country.”
“Langrock, Sperry and Wool have been steadfast supporters for many years,” said the center co-director Susan Harding. “We have also been fortunate to have Emily Joselson as a member of our board since 1987. This gift is just another way in which Langrock has shown its ongoing commitment to our work.”
The Addison County Parent/Child Center was founded in 1980, as one of four national pilot projects of the Federal Office of Adolescent Pregnancy Programs. Today it offers a variety of support and education programs not just for adolescent parents, but for those of all ages and at-risk adolescents as well. Services include home visiting, developmental assessments and early intervention, parent education, work readiness training and early childhood and community playgroups. The P/CC also provides support to the Vermont Parent/Child Center Network, a consortium of fifteen centers across the State of Vermont based on the Addison County model.
